Why this?
Welcome to my creative space! I'm a self-taught """amateur""" artist with a focus on pixelart and cool digital stuff. Whether I'm designing assets, experimenting with new styles, or just drawing for fun, art has always been a neat creative outlet for me.
This has all started as an activity I have used to do back in highschool while I was bored during recesses, however it has evolved into something much more... interesting. Especially ever since I have evolved from the pencil to the mouse and finally to the digital tablet.
A quick reminder: I have made (or will make) a page for each category of interest that I have. Please be patient and let me cook, for I shall write & keep y'all posted as soon as I have more time.
Favourite art mediums?
Personally it has to be pixelart, it feels really nice to make something out of nothing, and especially with a big limitation in resolution. Each pixel can be carefully placed, and even a tiny change can mean alot. To be honest, it even feels more like "sculpting" rather than drawing.
However, there still are many things that I had to learn about traditional art before diving nosedeep into this entire thingamajig. Which is why I used to do...
Art on actual paper! The control that a physical paper and how the pencil feels on it is unmatched to all the others, even pixelart (which I heavily prefer thanks to being able to use only my mouse for it, very easy to do). The only drawbacks were the fact that I had drawn on a tiny sketchbook that was smaller than my mouse, and that once I make a mistake, it is hard to erase it without either screwing up the paper or the rest of the drawing. However, it does feel humbling every time I hold a pencil in my hands once again rather than my tablet's pen, it's awesome to do both and I encourage y'all to experiment if you consider switching art mediums.
Digital drawing, however, is THE KING for me. ESPECIALLY when it comes to details. Somehow, if I am passionate enough about the subject that I am drawing, I can come up with ideas on how to render stuff that I could only dream of, on the spot. Experimentation goes a long way. My favourite example is back when I had made a portrait of someone and somehow managed to make a few pieces of clothing look just like the real thing. However, due to my skill issue, my hair rendering was subpar so it kind of ruined the whole thing, but in retrospect it was hella fun. :)) Can't wait to have more time to do more artworks and showcase them here...
My Philosophy on ART:
In my humble opinion, drawing is one hella awesome way of spending your free time. The best part is, if you want to do stuff like creating content or just having a neat way of presenting yourself online, then YOU are the leader and YOU can personalize everything to your own liking. I feel like originality is the greatest thing that has happened to the human mind since conscience. The satisfaction of finishing a piece and showing it to your likeminded people is unmatched. May everyone who wishes to pursue a career in this domain thrive and have their work known. For good reasons ofcourse.
Also, even if you do not have much experience with drawing, do give it a shot one day. Blast some music, sit properly (no shrimp back like I tend to do) and turn your brain off & your hand on. You might be making something that would surprise even yourself. And if not, atleast you know that you had a good time doing it, which is what matters the most.
